The singer - real name Nathaniel D. Hale - passed away unexpectedly last night (15.03.11) in Long Beach, California. While the cause of his death is not presently known, he had previously suffered two strokes in 2007 and 2008.

Avril Lavigne has revealed that she did battle with her record label because they wanted to turn her new album into a dance record. The 26-year-old singer said that Goodbye Lullaby had been ready for a year, but the label were pushing for it to be given a dance overhaul. She told Billboard, "The biggest challenge and only challenge of this album was my record company. The teenage pop star, who is currently in the UK as part of his European tour, took to Twitter this evening as he was holed up in his hotel room in Liverpool – with hundreds of screaming girls outside.
"I can't even say hi to my fans outside cuz [sic] of the police," the 17-year-old Never Say Never star tweeted. "Some bull." According to sources close to the U Smile singer, Bieber was told by the police that the situation could turn into a "possible riot" and allegedly threatened to arrest him for "endangering public safety”. The sources added that Bieber and his entourage have been warned that if they step out on the balcony in sight of fans, they would be immediately arrested for "inciting a riot”. |
